A Note from the General Manager

As we approach the Christmas season one word comes to mind, family. As my wife and I enter our 4th year of being empty-nesters we look forward to things like spending time with 2 daughters, their husbands and our grandchildren (we have 4) and seeing our youngest get married in just two short months. As parents we are proud of our children and the lives they have created for themselves!
At Pitzer’s we do our best to operate our business using 4 principles. The one that stands out most this month is a Happy Work Environment and Happy Employees. As the General Manager, it is one of my desires that each member of our team have a fulfilling life and take pride in what they help create, in much the same way my wife and I have in our own children.
We’re not perfect and like any other family we have our issues, but at Pitzer’s One Hour Air and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing we, as a family, all stand united with one common goal; make our customers happy.
Every Monday we gather together as a team to talk about current issues affecting our company. We train on things like communication and team work and discuss things that may have come up in the previous week. The third Monday is always my favorite because we celebrate the team and read all the positive customer comment cards and letters we have received that month.
The other thing we discuss is our Net Promoter Score. The NPS is a score given to us by you, our customers. Every day, an independent company pulls names from our database of people we have served that day and sends out a post card with a single question; “How likely are you (on a scale of 0-10) to recommend our company to a friend?” It is our hope that we will get a 10.
I am extremely pleased to say that we are consistently given high scores by YOU, our customers! Which brings us back again, full circle to where we started, family. At this holiday season, we in the Pitzer family want to thank you for your business and let you know that we really do take pride in hearing that we are doing our job and making you are happy.
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
