A Note from the General Manager

A big name cell phone company has turned the words “Can you hear me now?” into an everyday phrase. We joke about it, mimic it and even use it as an everyday expression. (at least I do… I love my phone, but the carrier… But don’t even get me started on that!)
At Pitzer’s Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and One Hour Air Conditioning, we want to hear you. We really want to do everything within our power to exceed your expectations. Of late in our company we have been talking about the importance of questions. Probing questions, open ended questions, questions that will help you share with us what your needs are.
We know that everybody is different, that they have different needs and just as different are the homes that you all live in. Some of you have allergies or dust problems. Some of you have slow drains or are always running out of hot water. The thing is though, that we have lived with these things for so long that they are commonplace to us and we have grown used to them, not realizing that a fix was possible.
Often times there are things that you have learned to live with that could be fixed or changed. Often it is not as expensive or hard to make a simple change or tweak to your heating and cooling system or home’s plumbing system and Voila! All of a sudden that annoying ‘whatever’ is gone and you are now able to enjoy your home much better. An example is my house; I live in a two story house and one of the bathrooms is upstairs at the far end of the house, before we opened our Ben Franklin Plumbing division, I thought that we would always have to wait for at least 5 minutes before the water would get hot in there. After learning about a recirculation pump and that it wasn’t really that expensive…
You get the point!
The same thing can be said for hot or cold rooms, constant dusting, allergies, lights that dim when the AC starts, slow drains, hard water and a myriad of other problems. We know about these things and how to solve them.
So the next time we come to your house and we start asking questions, know that we really do want to help you be more comfortable in your home! (also, don’t be shy, share with us what concerns you and we will do our best to help you out!)
Hope you have a great day!
